Once when he was working as a Salaryman he brought his work Saigo no Kake no Tsumori (最後の賭けのつもり) in person, and was nominated to be a finalist in Monthly Young Jump Manga Grand Prix (月例ヤングジャンプMANGAグランプリ). After this, he debuted with Shikkoku no Remunea (漆黒のレムネア). After completing this some time later, Curry naru Shokutaku (華麗なる食卓) started serialization in the 7th volume of Young Jump in 2001.
