This is the first and original story in the Ginga, the Silver Fang, series. It covers the birth of the silver-coloured brindle bear-dog, Gin, whose father gets killed early in the story by the bloodthirsty bear Akakabuto. Gin promises himself, his father and his human friends to swear revenge. He trains together with his young human master, Daisuke to kill the bear to vengeance all his victims.
